VOLVO V50

Finally, we decide to buy a V50 instead of Toyota Avensis or Corolla.  Toyota might be a 'risk-free' choice but they are not exciting at all.  V50 looks very beautiful and is loaded with 'safety' features that we value a lot when Kevin is on the back seat.

The color is 'dawn blue'.  A second choice would be the metal green that is a bit greyrish.  Finnish winter is plain enough and we hope this vivid blue would add a splash of color on the road.

雪映小溪

去OLARI富豪车行的路上，看到这条安静的小溪。平时数次走过这条小溪，一点也没在意这里有任何的‘风景’。雪，完全改变了氛围。

Finnish ski resort Levi

Finland is a very good place to learn skiiing.  Cross-country tracks are everywhere and well maintained.  Many downhill ski resorts are within couple of hours driving from major cities.  They are not as big as those in the Alps but they are inexpensive, not crowded, and safe - perfect for many beginners or those like me who would like to get any chances to ski but can't afford long holidays away from home.

Levi is my favorite place, so far.  I was there twice, in 2000 and 2003. It's a big enough place with more than 20 slopes so you won't get board very soon.  The slopes and lifts are well designed that you can go through all the slopes without taking off yoru ski boots.  They are well conncted.

The picture is their south slope with about 41% decending, where many competition events have been held.

Blogging is easy?

It took me quite some time to figure out how to post my first message into TypePad.  The working process is not that straightforward and there are too many options.

I can not stop worndering that if a user want to start posting from his mobile phone, with built-in web browser and Lifeblog application from Nokia, would that be easy for him/her to set up everything from the tiny phone screen and limited bandwidth?  I would say that we definitely need to simplify the set up process if we evern aim to enable phone users to use services based on blogging.

Kevin got sick

Kevin started to have fever from last Friday and soon had also watery nose.  Mother stayed home to companion him and he seemed very happy at home.

Finnish law allows parents to take leaves when child is sick.  We now understand how important this is.  When kids are sick, it's like the parents are sick or even worse.  Kids can not go to kindgarten or school and the parents have to stay with them. No grand-parents are nearby to give a helping hand here.
